Ducati Announce Digital Collectible Program

Ducati is entering the world of blockchain, with the launch of its digital collectible program, utilising the open-source XRP Ledger platform. Its entry into the Web3 world includes a free non-fungible token (NFT) for early adopters.

Set to leverage digital channels to offer a new kind of experience to enthusiasts, the program brings the Bologna-based motorcycle manufacturer into the Web3 world, and combines Ducati’s heritage with cutting-edge digital technology.

The aim of the program is to open the doors of Borgo Panigale even wider to fans from all over the world, and offer motorcyclists, racing enthusiasts and technology lovers the chance to discover the beauty of belonging to the Ducati community.

The sequence of digital collectibles tells the legendary story of the Ducati brand, with a video sequence of the company’s logos that have appeared on its fuel tanks kicking off the collection.

Spanning from 1946 to the present day, this first release is a gift the brand wishes to give to its fans, allowing enthusiasts to carry the symbol of their passion with them at all times, while welcoming the community on this journey into the Web3 world.

Registration is open now at web3.ducati.com, with this initial NFT only available until August 2. Those who register after that date will still be able to participate in future digital collectible releases.

Ducati has been a pioneer in embracing new technologies to engage, entertain and nurture the passion of the large community of its fans around the world, with its digital collectible program the latest offering.

In the past, it sold its first motorcycle online on 1 January 2000, and created a blog for its Ducatisti to interact with management and Ducati Corse riders.
