CFMOTO 450SR S Headed To Australia

CFMOTO are building on the success of the 450SR released early last year, with the impending arrival of the 450SR S. The 450SR S is due to arrive in Australia in the first quarter of this year and be priced from $9,290 Ride Away.

The 450SR S builds upon the already impressive qualities of its predecessor, elevating the platform to new heights. Boasting an evolutionary aerodynamic design that not only captivates the eyes but also enhances performance, this premium variant is a testament to CFMOTO’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of power, style, and technology.

The addition of traction control ensures stable operation on slippery roads and various challenging conditions, providing riders with greater confidence in any situation. The 37mm inverted front forks now feature separate function and adjustable compression and rebound damping, offering riders the ability to tailor their riding experience to their personal preferences.

A Brembo M40 front caliper provides strong and controlled braking power at all times and is supported by an Antilock Brake System to prevent wheel lock during emergency braking. The rear brake has been upgraded to a 240mm single disc, dual-piston caliper for optimal stopping power.

The new hidden exhaust seamlessly integrates with the rear of the bike, creating an aggressive and streamlined appearance, while the standard LED headlights and ESS emergency braking lights add to the overall safety and aesthetics.

The 5-inch TFT display supports MotoPlay, including screen projection, music, navigation, and phone, ensuring riders stay connected while on the road. The motorcycle also supports over-the-air (OTA) upgrades for continuous improvement.

At the core of the CFMOTO 450SR S lies a technological marvel – the highly acclaimed 449.5cc parallel twin-cylinder engine. Sharing its lineage with the esteemed 450SR, this powerhouse produces 34.5kW @9250rpm and 39.3Nm of torque @ 7750 rpm.

The 272MQ engine boasts a 270° crankshaft imitating the sound and feel of a 90º V-twin. In contrast to the 360° and 180° parallel twin variants, the 270° crank provides a striking compromise between rocking couple and inertial forces with better primary balance than the 360° and a lower rocking couple than the 180°.

The 450SR S is set to hit the market in two contemporary liveries, Zircon Black and Tundra Grey with the model being supported by CFMOTO’s 3-Year warranty program.
